Competition Terms & Conditions
TERMS & CONDITIONS FOR COMPETITIONS AT SOUTHERN DISTRICTS TOUCH ASSOCIATION INC.
BY REGISTERING A TEAM, YOU ARE AGREEING TO THESE TERMS. BY REGISTERING AS A PLAYER, YOU ARE AGREEING TO THESE TERMS.
The following terms and conditions have been implemented to assist in the smooth running of our competition.
SEASON DURATION:
Commences: As per Season competition details
Concludes: As per Season competition details
Total of approx. 15 weeks, including round games and finals. The season consists of approx. 13 weeks of competition (during the first two weeks, ladder points will be accumulated but SDTA has the right to move teams into different divisions to create the fairest competition). The round games will be followed by 2 weeks of finals ie. semi final and final (all teams participate in the semi-finals, unless we have an odd number of teams in a division, where the team in bottom position may not have a fixtured game).
DIVISIONS:
MONDAY NIGHTS
Mens Division 1, Division 2 and Division 3 and Mixed Division 1, Division 2 and Division 3, Women’s.
TIMES:
Games will be played at 6.30pm, 7.20pm and 8.10pm (subject to change depending on team numbers and modifications to competition format).
TEAM COMPOSITION
Teams consist of between 10 and 14 players (minimum 10 registered players). Teams will not accrue competition points if they fail to register or pay for a minimum of 10 registered players and any team registration fee will not be refunded. If you need a couple of extra players to make up the required minimum of 10, please check with the office, as there is usually a list of players waiting to join teams.
PAYMENTS
Fees are per player (as advertised each season). All fees are due at the time of player registration. No player is able to participate without registering. See below for fill-in players.
TEAM UNIFORMS
All teams must be in full uniform by week 3 of the competition. Teams who do not abide by this condition will not be permitted to take to the field and may be withdrawn from the competition (and team registration fee will not be refunded). A team uniform consists of matching coloured shirts (WHITE SHIRTS AND FLUORESCENT YELLOW/GREEN SHIRTS ARE NOT PERMITTED) with a minimum 20cm number on the back in a contrasting colour. Please choose numbers between 0 and 20 if possible.
ROLE OF THE TEAM CAPTAIN:
Complete on-line registration and payment. Ensure all players complete their details on-line prior to round 1.
Responsible for ensuring that all team members are aware of the playing rules and by-laws before the commencement of the season.
Ensuring that all visiting players (fill ins) are required to register at the office before taking to the field and they they pay a $10 visitor fee. Individual visiting players may only play three games.
Making sure all players are in full and correct team uniform at all times.
Forwarding on association news to team members which has been received via email or attached to weekly team sheet.
GENERAL INFORMATION:
Touch Football at Southern Districts is based on “fun and fair play” and teams are advised to approach the competition in this manner, regardless of what grade they play. In addition to the rules of Touch Football Australia and TFA (WA), SDTA have imposed the attached rules and by-laws for the coming season.
